Becoming a parent is one thing, dining out as one is another. Parents with young kids ourselves, we understand how hard it can get to pick a restaurant. One that’s child-friendly; an eatery that doesn’t only serve healthy and tasty meals for kids but also meals we adults will enjoy, too.

Eating out with young children isn’t easy, but it’s not impossible. The following is only a handful of family-friendly eateries and they’re all very easy to get to. Give these eateries a try.

1. Bucket B Cafe


Situated at IPC Shopping Centre, Bucket B Cafe is a family-friendly cafe where parents can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while watching their little ones play in the secure, dedicated play area.

2. BLOKKE

BLOKKE needs no introduction: a cafe with a massive dedicated play area; filled with lots of LEGO bricks. According to BLOKKE, everyone aged 1-99 can come and play.

3. Playground The Cafe

The cafe has a secure, dedicated play space for the children to play and explore while parents can enjoy a nice cup of coffee and some light snacks.

4) Green Tomato Cafe

Surrounded by a windbreak of trees, the cafe is located in a bungalow. There’s ample space for kids to run around and play, Green Tomato Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and high tea.

Founded in 1995 by South African owners, Dave and Debby Solomon, the restaurant has an outdoor play area for kids to play.
