Spotlight: Pusat Sains Negara, Kuala Lumpur

Pusat Sains Negara is an interactive exploration centre where children, families, and school groups can learn about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The centre underwent a massive renovation a few years ago. And, beginning in 2019, there’s now an indoor park (Dinosaur Encounter) filled with lifelike dinosaurs at Pusat Sains Negara.

Perched atop a hill in Bukit Kiara, Pusat Sains Negara first opened its doors on 29 November 1996 by former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad. The centre’s building design resembles that of a hemispherical thin-shell structure – a geodesic dome.

As with any science centre, Pusat Sains Negara seeks to offer a place that can create awareness and understanding of science and technology among Malaysians, especially children.

Pusat Sains Negara offers three different types of science gallery and exhibits. There are Indoor GalleryThemed Exhibit and Outdoor Exhibit Zone

Each section is unique, offering a variety of interactive exhibits for children and families to discover fun, hands-on, interactive exhibits that convey real-world applications of STEM.

Entrance fees are as low as RM6.00 for an adult with MyKad. A child with MyKad pays only RM3.00. Do watch our videos below to learn more about Pusat Sains Negara.
